Capital Area Transit (CAT) is for around the City of Raleigh and surrounding areas. CAT is run by the City of Raleigh as part of the public transit authority. The R-Line Bus is an eco-friendly bus system that features hybrid electric buses. The service is FREE and runs throughout downtown Raleigh, with buses running every 10 to 15 minutes.
